U-Fuel announces new pricing for self-service fuel stations

U-Fuel of Elk Mound, WI, a pioneer in the area of aviation fuel equipment and sponsor of the Aviation Fuel Club, recently announced new pricing for its line of highly affordable self-service fuel stations.

These include:

Fuel Islands starting at $23,000 for those adding 24/7 credit card function to an existing tank.

1,500g Mini-Fueler starting at $35,000.

3,500g Sport Fuel box station starting at $55,000.

8,000g box station starting at $82,000.

U-Fuel systems are compatible with any aviation fuel, eg autogas, avgas, and Jet-A. Self-service fueling turns an airport into an airplane magnet due to the station's availability 24/7 and the lower prices for fuel that they allow. They improve an airport's bottom line through greater fuel sales and lower costs for personnel and fuel trucks.

U-Fuel systems are pre-engineered and pre-fabricated, resulting in the lowest possible engineering, shipping, installation and permitting costs. Their strong return on investment make them highly affordable, often without the need for state or federal funding. Leasing terms and financing are available. For more details, contact Kent Misegades, Aviation Sales, U-Fuel.

Aviation fuel forum now available

Despite a torrential downpour, Aviation Fuel Club Director Kent Misegades presented a forum entitled "Aviation Fuel Club and Sport Fuel" during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh on July 27th. A number of AFC members were in attendance, and the talk, which summarized many aspects of aviation fuel, was well received. A PDF (4.8 MB) of his comments may be found here. A summary of aviation-fuel related topics covered at AirVenture 2011 may be found here.

Dearybury Oil offers autogas to airports in the Southeast

While assisting several AFC members in Florida airports to find more affordable suppliers of autogas, we contacted Dearybury Oil and Gas in Spartanburg, SC, the long-time supplier of autogas to the Barnwell Regional Airport (KBNL), in Barnwell, SC. Bill Dearybury, the company's president, confrimed that he is happy to supply any airport in the Southeastern US with 91+ AKI ethanol-free autogas.  See the company's web site for contact information.
