Summer Camp Opportunities

Summer camps are filling up fast! If your child would like to participate in a fun and educational summer experience, please contact the Reserve no later than June 1.  Availability is limited, and camps will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up today and spend your summer at the Reserve!

Bluebird Festival Set

Join us at this year's Bluebird Festival. The annual event is set for Sunday, May 20 from 1-4 p.m. Learn about these fascinating creatures and what it takes to monitor your very own bluebird box. Rain or shine. The event takes place at Hickory Hills Golf Course located three miles south of Eau Claire on Highway 93.

Beaver Creek Reserve Welcomes New Director

Erik Keisler has been named Beaver Creek Reserve's new director beginning mid-May.  Erik will fill the position left by longtime director Rick Koziel, who recently retired after serving the Reserve for more than 30 years.

Erik, a native of Eau Claire, is no stranger to to the Reserve.  He also has extensive experience with both nature work and leadership; he most recently served as the Outdoor Adventure Program Coordinator at Michigan Technological University. 

There will be an open house to welcome Erik on Wednesday, June 6 from 4- 5 p.m. at the Main Lodge.  We welcome Erik and look forward to working together to further the mission of Beaver Creek Reserve.

Shower House Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The new youth camp shower house is almost finished!  To celebrate the completed renovation, the Reserve will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, June 6 from 4 - 5 p.m. Tours of other renovated camp buildings will also be available. Celebrate all that is new at the Reserve!

Annual Native Plant Sale

Calling all green thumbs! This  Saturday, May 12 is your chance to shop at the Reserve's annual Native Plant Sale. Check here for this year's selections. Doors open at 9 a.m. sharp and continue until 1 p.m.

Choose from many varieties of native flowers, grasses and herbs to mix into your existing flowerbeds or to start your own mini-prairie in your yard. Plant experts will be on hand to answer questions. Proceeds will help support activities at the Reserve.
